Channel Islands Surfboards is arguably one of the most influential surfboard brands in the world, so when they approached us for a collaboration, we were honored. Al Merrick, founder and master board designer, has designed some of the most classic models in board design history. Together we chose iconic board designs, the Flyer, the Pod Mod, and the ever historical Black Beauty.

Both brands have both been refining their craft for years. CI since 1969, over 43 years of innovation and development, with hardcore surfing and quality in mind. Carver since 1996, over 20 years of surfskate progression, bringing true surf performance to land.

By surfers, for surfers. Channel Islands was created by Al and Terry Merrick in Santa Barbara, and Carver Skateboards was created by Neil Carver in Venice Beach. Both have been uncompromising and have stayed true to the core.

Surfskate CARVER CI BLACK BEAUTY 31.75″ will come with two optional trucks:

Carver C7 Surfskate Truck

The C7 is the signature truck that started it all. It is still the smoothest turning, fastest pumping surf truck ever, and after all these years it’s at the leading edge of true surfskate performance.

The Carver patented second axis of this front truck increases the turning radius of your carve, but still lets you snap the nose and pivot your turns off the tail. This dynamic creates thrust and drives you forward with increasing speed. The striking similarity to surfIng performance has made the C7 the choice for surf training by pros and ams alike.

Carver CX.4 Surfskate Truck

The CX Truck SET is Carver’s hybrid surf and skate truck. The CX 4.0 truck is a hybrid surf and skate truck with a lightweight standard RKP (Reverse King Pin) hanger and base.

This truck has a patented geometry that squeezes every bit of turn and pump from the system,which means that you can pump this truck like a C7, but it lands airs and rides fakie with more stability as well. This opens up aerial maneuvers, and keys in with the latest progression of airs in surfing.
