The Wingfoil Rocket Midlenght is an all round board with special abilities to ride in light wind conditions.

The Rocket Midlenght boards were developed last year as an evolution in our foil board range.

The concept was to combine the efficiency and glide of SUP DW boards with the stability and ease of wing foil boards.

Those who already tried know t is very hard to lift a Downwind Sup only with your paddling effort.

Consequently, SUP Downwind boards have special abilities to allow SUP foilers to be up on the foil faster and easier.

What if we add these characterisitcs in a Wing Foil board?

Could we create an easy water start board for lighter wind conditions?

That was the main idea behind the Midlenght range.

For 2025 F-One refined the shapes and increased lenght, to offer you the ultimate light wind weapon.

For 2025, we designed the Rocket Midlenghts to offer you an easy take-off, enhanced maneuverability and optimal stability.

With a refined shape and increased length,  board offers enhanced stability and glide, making it the ultimate light-wind weapon.

The expanded size range, now going from 5’10 to 6’10, provides even more options to suit different riding styles and conditions.

When we developed our SUP DOWNWIND PRO range, one of the bigger issues was to look for maximum glide to provide easy take-offs.

That’s why SUP downwind boards are always long and narrow.

What we end up finding was that these abilities could also offer real advantages for wing foiling.

The glide that facilitates SUP take-offs allowed us in wing foil to:

Reduce wing surfaces, even in light winds.

Provide fantastic maneuverability, thanks to their narrow width and streamlined shape.

Increase glide and comfort for such long, voluminous boards.

Little by little, we’ve been using the SUP DW boards in different wing foiling conditions, as well as in both light and strong winds.

This inspired us to develop a range of wing foil boards sharing the characteristics of our SUP DWs, without the concessions made for a SUP practice.

That’s how we ended up with boards with similar shapes but much less volume and reduced length.

Rocket Midlenght Design.

For the 2025 collection we improved volume distribution, especially in the nose, to provide more stability.

We added a more rounded bottom at the front to enhance glide, that also leads to smoother take-offs and touchdowns.

By trading thickness for extra length, these latest MIDLENGTH boards now offer better balance and better glide in light winds.

Thanks to a slightly wider tail, stability is preserved while the slim outline and parallel rails promote glide and speed during take-off.

The step on the bottom near the tail creates a clean break to channel the water flow at the back without generating excessive drag when in motion.

The removal of the central step on the bottom, previously in front of the twin-tracks, makes the board compatible with Foil Drives.

The overall redesign of the board sheds volume from each board size compared to the first edition.

For example, the former 5’10 MIDLENGTH board is equivalent to a 6’2 in this new range, boasting a volume of 95L compared to 120L for the same size previously.

The new MIDLENGTH continues to shine in light winds, but many riders will appreciate it in a variety of conditions as these boards don’t feel cumbersome thanks to their narrow width.

The reduced width also makes it much easier to carve and lay into turns.

These can now be used as SUPs as well by advanced riders looking for agile shapes in waves or short period downwinders.

Rocket Midlenght Construction

The Rocket Wind Midlenght range benefits from our ultra-light Bamboo Deck Construction.

We optimized the construction using a layer of bamboo to guarantee the board is as light as possible.

At the same time we ensured strength and durability was reinforced.

The feeling of the foil became more direct.

Control is now absolute throughout the entire session, even at high speeds.
